Over de fotografe

Welkom op mijn website. Mijn naam is Joyce Kolfschoten, achtentwintig jaar en ik woon in Woudenberg. Het fotograferen tijdens eventing wedstrijden is mijn hobby dat is gegroeid tot ‘Joyce Kolfschoten Fotografie’. Naast de weekenden fotograferen ben ik doordeweeks werkzaam in een dierenspeciaalzaak. Paarden zijn altijd mijn passie geweest. Na jaren paardrijden ben ik over gegaan naar het vastleggen van deze prachtige dieren. Tijdens de eventing is geweldig om te zien hoe sterk maar ook elegant paarden zijn maar ook het vastleggen van de relatie tussen paard en ruiter is fantastisch.

Werkwijze

Tijdens een dag fotograferen gaat veel vooraf. Ik vind het altijd fijn om alvast het parcours te verkennen. Zo weet ik welke hindernissen er gesprongen worden en hoe de routes lopen. Ik probeer het vaak zo te plannen dat ik geen of zo min mogelijk combinaties mis als ik naar een andere hindernis ga om te fotograferen. Na een dag fotograferen begint het echte werk. Alle gemaakte foto’s worden dan op mijn computer ingeladen. Ik zet dezelfde avond alvast een kleine impressie van enkele foto’s online. Dit is om een beetje de sfeer van de gemaakte foto’s aan jullie kenbaar te maken. Daarna begint het bewerken. Vaak zijn er gemiddeld 1000 foto’s per dag die ik allemaal individueel nakijk en bewerk. Dit bewerken houdt in dat de kleurtonen en de details wat meer worden geaccentueerd. Omdat ik elke foto bewerk duurt het dan ook wat langer tot ik alle foto’s online heb staan. Het online zetten van de foto die direct uit de camera komt (onbewerkt) is voor mij een No Go. Onbewerkt is het lastiger om precies te zien wat de potentie is van de foto. Maar ook wil ik een eerlijk beeld geven wat je kan verwachten van de bestelde foto’s. What you see, is what you get. Natuurlijk is bij het bestelproces altijd aan te geven als je wat aanpassingen wilt aan de foto. Dit kan bijvoorbeeld zijn dat er een object in beeld staat, dat deze weg gewerkt kan worden. Of dat de ogen gesloten zijn van ruiter of paard. Dit kan bijna altijd bijgewerkt worden zodat ze wel open zijn op de bestelde foto.

Op alle foto’s op mijn website rust een auteursrecht. Dit betekent dat deze foto’s niet gebruikt mogen worden zonder schriftelijke toestemming van de fotografe. Vrijwel alle foto’s op de site zijn tevens voorzien van een watermerk.

Bij aanschaf van de foto’s die gemaakt zijn door mij krijg je een licentie voor persoonlijk gebruik van de producten. Dit betekent dat de auteursrecht bij de fotografe blijft en je de foto kan delen op sociale media en/of de foto kan afdrukken. De foto mag op geen enkele wijze (zonder schriftelijke toestemming) voor andere doeleinden gebruikt worden.

Op de pagina’s worden alle foto’s weergegeven die zijn gemaakt tijdens de evenementen. Echter kan het een enkele keer voorkomen dat niet iedere foto zichtbaar is. Dus mocht je nog een foto missen, vraag gerust. Ik help je graag!

Welcome to my website. My name is Joyce Kolfschoten, twenty-eight years old and I live in Woudenberg. Photographing during eventing competitions is my hobby that has grown into ‘Joyce Kolfschoten Fotogarfie’. In addition to photographing in the weekends, I work in a pet store during the weekdays. Horses have always been my passion. After years of riding I switched to photographing these beautiful animals. During the eventing it is great to see how strong but also elegant horses are, but also capturing the relationship between horse and rider is fantastic.

Method

During a day of shooting a lot precedes. I always like to explore the course beforehand. This way I know which obstacles have to be jumped and how the routes are. I often try to plan it so that I miss no or as few combinations as possible when I go to another obstacle to shoot. After a day of shooting, the real work begins. All the pictures I have taken are then loaded onto my computer. The same evening I will put a small impression of some photos online. This is to let you know a little about the atmosphere of the photos that are taken. Then the editing starts. There is often an average of 1000 photos per day that I check and edit individually. This editing means that the color tones and the details are accentuated a bit more. Because I edit every photo, it takes a little longer until I have all the photos online. Putting the photo that comes straight out of the camera online (unedited) is a No Go for me. Unedited it is more difficult to see exactly what the potential of the photo is. But I also want to give an honest picture of what you can expect from the ordered photos. What you see is what you get. Of course you can always indicate during the ordering process if you want some adjustments to the photo. This can be, for example, that an object is in the picture, that it can be removed. Or that the eyes of rider or horse are closed. This can almost always be updated so that they are open on the ordered photo.

Information

All photos on my website are copyrighted. This means that these photos may not be used without the written permission from the photographer. Almost all photos on the site also have a watermark.

When purchasing the photos taken by me, you get a license for personal use of the products. This means that the copyright remains with the photographer and you can share the photo on social media and/or print the photo. The photo may not be used for other purposes in any way (without written permission).
